Baltimore County Major League Baseball, Inc.

2010 Season

Basic Information Summary

1. Entry fees, forfeit bond/fines and security bond:

The entry fee for the 2010 season is $200.00 per team. Please mail entry fee checks to Bill Willis, 4216 Fitch Avenue, Baltimore Md. 21236 no later than May 16, 2010. Anyone who owes from the prior year(s) will not be allowed to put a team in the League until pastdue debts have been paid. The forfeiture bond will no longer be held by BCML. If a team forfeits at the field, the forfeiting team will pay the entire umpire fee ($100 for 2 umpires and $75 for 1 umpire). Obviously, if a game is forfeited prior to the umpires showing up at the field (24 hours notice), there is no forfeiture fee due the umpires. If during a game, one of the teams forfeits for whatever reason, no additional fees are required and the forfeiting team does not reimburse the opposing team. In those cases when teams demonstrate a propensity to forfeit or cancel games, the 15-19 BCML Commissioner will assess the team a FINE payable to the BCML and said team may also be required to pay a Security bond. This decision is made by the 15-19 BCML Commissioner. The mandatory forfeiture FINE for the third game forfeited is $100.00 and $25.00 for all games thereafter. When the FINE is assessed, the 15-19 BCML Commissioner will make arrangements to collect the FINE. Please make all checks payable to Baltimore County Major League.

2. Meetings:

3. Fines and Suspensions:

If it is discovered that you failed to disclose that a player played for another team and the Release documents were not submitted, there is a non-disclosure fine of $100.00 per player due the BCML. And if it is discovered that you have an ineligible player, there is a $100.00 ineligible player fine per player due BCML. If the 15-19 BCML Commissioner deems a team to have a propensity for non-disclosure and ineligible players, the offending team will be suspended from playing in the BCML for whatever time period the 15-19 BCML Commissioner deems appropriate. This decision is non-appealable. A team failing to “show up” at 2 games will be suspended from playing in BCML for whatever time period the 15-19 BCML Commissioner deems appropriate.
